Bittersweet July

This month has been a huge whirlwind...getting settled into the internship, making new friends, preparing for two of my best friend to get married, and losing one of my closest family members...
July 3rd was when I found out that my Uncle Jerry died, and it was extremely painful for my parents and I, as well as the rest of the family. I'm really not ready to talk about it much more than this, but I will miss him so much and I know that he is watching over me as I continue to achieve my dreams.
It's taking A LOT of time and strength to not dwell on the fact that he's gone now, but at the same time the pain gets a little bit better every day. I've had to turn to my faith a lot more than I have in the past...it's been a few years since I've really had to rely on faith alone and it does get scary not being able to understand why things happen the way they do sometimes, and you just have to trust in God and keep the faith :)

Anyway, that was my intro for the fact that I've been slacking on working out and bettering my eating habits...but it's time to get back into a routine; a regular groove to keep things moving throughout the days and start feeling better about myself and about everything happening in my life.

Things have been rough lately with personal stuff, financial struggles, and adjusting to a new job and new coworkers...like I keep saying, I REALLY wish I could be a kid again because things were so much easier back then.

But it's time to get back in shape and look to the future; applications for the next internship period are coming up on August 20th, Tim & Andy's wedding is on August 25th, and there's so much more to look forward to in the upcoming months :)

I'm going to try and take up yoga and jogging again.
The plan right now is to wake up between 5:30a-6:00a, either walk Buds for about 30-45 min or walk Buds for 15 min and squeeze in a 15-20 min morning yoga workout.
In case I decide to sleep in, the back-up plan is to hit the treadmill or do Jillian Michael's Kickboxing/30 Day Shred DVDs or Wii Zumba after work.

Well, if I'm going to try to wake up early tomorrow then I better get to sleep :)
